[Veterinary drug name] Common name: Sulfuric acid colistin soluble powder
Product Name:
English name: Colistin Sulfate Solve Powder Chinese pinyin: Liusuan Nianjunsu Kerongxingfen
[Main ingredient] Colistin
[Appearance] This product is a white or off white powder.
[Pharmacological Effects] Pharmacodynamic colistin belongs to the peptide antibacterial class and is an alkaline cationic surfactant that interacts with bacterial cells
The interaction between phospholipids inside the membrane infiltrates into the bacterial cell membrane, disrupting its structure and causing changes in membrane permeability, leading to bacterial death and producing bactericidal effects. This product has strong antibacterial effects on Gram negative bacteria such as aerobic bacteria, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella, Shigella, etc. Gram positive bacteria are usually insensitive. There is complete cross resistance with polymyxin B, but no cross resistance with other antibiotics.
Pharmacokinetics: Oral administration is almost not absorbed, but non gastrointestinal administration is rapidly absorbed. The drugs that enter the body can quickly distribute into the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and skeletal muscles, but are not easily able to enter the brain, spinal cord, chest cavity, joint cavity, and infected lesions. Mainly excreted through the kidneys.
Drug Interaction 1 (1): Co administration with neuromuscular blocking agents such as muscle relaxants and aminoglycosides may cause muscle weakness and respiratory arrest.
(2) It has a synergistic effect with integration agents (EDTA) and cationic cleaners on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and is often used in combination for local applications
The treatment of partial infection.
