【Properties】This product is a white or almost white powder. 

【Pharmacological Action】Pharmacology Spectinomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It has a moderate inhibitory effect  on a variety of Gram - negative bacilli, such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella, Shigella, and Proteus. It is sensitive to streptococci,  pneumococci, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and some mycoplasmas (such as Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Mycoplasma  meleagridis, Mycoplasma synoviae, etc.). 

It is mostly not sensitive to Streptococcus viridans and Staphylococcus aureus. It is  usually resistant to Pseudomonas aeruginosa and spirochetes. Intestinal bacteria are widely resistant to spectinomycin, but there  is no cross - resistance with streptomycin. Lincosamides have good antibacterial activity against anaerobic bacteria, such as  Clostridium spp., Peptococcus, Peptostreptococcus, Clostridium tetani, Clostridium perfringens, and most actinomycetes.  Lincomycin mainly acts on the 50S subunit of bacterial ribosomes and affects protein synthesis by inhibiting the elongation of  peptide chains. Pharmacokinetics After oral administration of spectinomycin, only about 7% is absorbed, but a high concentration can be  maintained in the intestinal tract. The tissue concentration of the drug is lower than the serum concentration. 

It is not easy to  enter the cerebrospinal fluid or the eye, and has a low binding rate with plasma proteins. Most of the drug is excreted through  the glomerulus in its original form. Lincomycin is poorly absorbed orally, with a bioavailability of 30% - 40%. Mixed feeding  can reduce its absorption rate and absorption amount. When chickens are administered this product at 50mg per kilogram of  body weight in drinking water, continuous administration for 7 days, the concentration of lincomycin in the plasma reaches 0.14 μg/ml during the test period, while the concentration of spectinomycin is extremely low, exceeding 0.1μg/ml after 7 days of the  test. 

【Drug Interactions】(1) When used in combination with lincomycin, it can significantly increase the antibacterial activity against  mycoplasma and expand the antibacterial spectrum. (2) When lincomycin is used in combination with anticholinesterase drugs, it can reduce the efficacy of the latter. (3) It has an antagonistic effect when used in combination with erythromycin.
